Tuberculosis is a disease that can be easily spread because it is an airborne disease, according to the World Health Organization(WHO), in 2021, an estimated 10.6 million people fell ill with tuberculosis (TB) worldwide.
Tuberculosis also known as (TB) is a serious bacterial disease that mainly affects the lungs. It is caused by a bacterium called mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria usually attack the lungs, and it can also attack any other parts of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain. Not everyone infected with tuberculosis bacteria becomes sick.
What are the symptoms of tuberculosis?
Most people infected with the bacteria that cause tuberculosis don’t have symptoms. When symptoms occur they usually include:

1. Coughing, sometimes with blood-tinged.

2. Pains in the chest.
3. Pain can occur while breathing.
4. Swollen lymph nodes.
5. Fatigue.
6. Fever.
7. Loss of appetite.
8. Night sweats.
9. Phlegm.
10. Muscle atrophy.
11. Malaise.
12. Shortness of breath.
How can tuberculosis be transferred?
It is a communicable disease; it can be spread through the air from one person to another. When a person with TB disease of the throat or lungs coughs, speaks or sings, TB bacteria get into the air. People nearby may breathe in these bacteria and gets infected.
Can tuberculosis be cured?
Yes, it can. Treatment isnβt always required for those without symptoms. Patients with involved symptoms will require an extended period of treatment involving multiple antibiotics.
